Laser Printer Ink Refill

Computer is very important part of our lifestyle these days. Most of the times we write a document in our computer and save it there, but if we want to print this document on paper we need a printer. Printer is a output device that can take commands from the computer and print on paper. Printers are of many types :

  1. DMP Printers : Dot Matrix Printer runs on rotating ink ribbon
  2. Inkjet Printer : Runs on liquid ink spray technology
  3. Laser Printers : Runs on dry toner with laser printer ink.

But in recent times the Laser printer is the most popular printer type. It is more costly then the DMP and Inkjet printers, but Laser printer’s print quality and speed is best. Once we connect the laser printer to our computer and install the operating system driver we can give the print command to print.

How laser printer ink works: As its name suggests the laser printer runs on the laser technology. Once the command to print is supplied to the printer initializes its laser drum. The printer drum is made up of high quality electromagnetic material. There are two terminals which charges the drum are called corona terminals. The corona terminals chrages the toner drum up to -650 Volts , and the image of the print command is formed on the toner drum. The ink of the laser printer is highly electromagnetic.

Once the image of the print command is formed on the toner drum the drum is exposed to the ink and the final image of printout is formed . After this the toner drum writes the image on paper. The paper is heat pressed using a Teflon sheet rollers. This is very fast process. Due to this technology the laser printer is fast and the quality is best. The laser printer ink is the most important component in this process, it is a dry powder which is highly electromagnetic in nature. The ink toner is a costly component. Once it gets empty we need to refill it to use.

To refill the laser printer ink we have two options :

  1. Buy new toner drum for the laser printer ink: In this case we can simply order a new toner drum to the manufacturer and replace it, the quality of the ink in best in this toner drum, but it is more costly.
  2. To get the toner drum refilled: There are many vendors available today who refills the laser printer ink. They simply refill the toner drum with new ink powder. But the quality of this ink is not so good. in the refilled toner drums the print quality fall because the toner drum becomes old and it attracts less ink as compared to the new toner drum.

So we should always replace the laser printer ink toner drum with new one because the quality in this case is best and printer prints more number of papers and the printer life is increased.
